Evolutionary Neuroscience of Language Group has a new paper out by Chantal Oderbolz et al.: First Swiss MEG study on language processing.
Our collaborative study with Georgetown University, Washington, is the first Swiss investigation of spoken language processing using the Magnetencephalography technique. It elucidates how the previously underexplored right ventral stream contributes to the hierarchical processing of prosodic information during speech perception. Our findings therefore underscore the pivotal role that the often-overlooked right hemisphere plays in spoken language comprehension.
