I study the interface of language, cognition, neurobiology, and ontogenetic development. My work centers around the neural and cognitive mechanisms that support the production and comprehension of sentences, and how these mechanisms develop throughout childhood. I am also interested in how language processing and cognition are adapted to the grammatical makeup of different languages.
