I am a Master's student in Neuroscience at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, currently completing my thesis at ISLE, University of Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Martin Meyer. I hold a BSc in Psychological Sciences from Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
My Master's project investigates whether the neural architecture underlying the processing of the prosodic hierarchy — recently identified for German — generalises to Italian, a typologically distinct language. Using EEG, I examine cortical entrainment and phase-amplitude coupling to hierarchically nested prosodic structures (intonation phrase, foot, syllable) in native Italian listeners, testing whether this level-selective tracking reflects a general property of prosodic processing or is shaped by language-specific rhythmic organisation.
