I am a PhD student in the Distributional Linguistics Lab. In my project, we are investigating how informational profiles of languages take shape in situated communication, change over evolutionary time scales, and influence processes of linguistic micro- and macro-evolution. We use large language models, Bayesian phylogenetic methods and agent-based simulation with the aim of developing mechanistic approaches to the complex multi-scale dynamics of language use and evolution.
